PSL: Sentinel AU
Danny is Steve's guide. He is still pretty new at it and working with a Sentinel who has some bad experiences. To top if off, while working a case in Portland he finds out that a guide can have more than one Sentinel who is their perfect match.

"I could be," he concedes, low and rough, and when Danny takes his hand again he shifts their grip to let him press a finger gently to the flutter of Danny's pulse at his wrist. It's the act of being towed out into the hall that keeps him from saying any more, things that he's sure Steve really doesn't want to hear even more than anything he's likely heard already.

Normally he'd argue and insist on taking the truck, but right now having Danny that far away will likely send him into another zone or fit and frankly it's not worth the risk. Instead he nods and smiles tiredly at Eliot. "We flipping to see who gets shot gun?"
Re: Danny, Steve and Eliot. In the office. Ironing things out
He starts heading for the door. "I'll text Kono and ask her to bring Grace by in half an hour or so? That work for you guys?"

"You take shot gun," he tells Steve, and it's not even a hard concession to make. For all the hangups he might have about many things, he's used to being in the back while someone else does the driving, and, hell, he's a lot shorter than Steve, so the lack of leg room's less of an issue. Besides, it's not entirely altruistic, he can sit behind Danny and keep a hand on his shoulder or the back of his neck just fine.
"I'm good, an' for the rest of it, whatever you two are good with."

He's about to mention the duffel to Eliot when the other man retrieves it on his own. "Yeah, sounds good," he says to Danny before smiling at Eliot. "Thanks, man." He does appreciate it, he hates sitting in the back. It wasn't something that bothered him so much in the military, but on Hawaii, his seat of choice is the driver's seat. Some might say he's a bit of a control freak, but he has no idea what they are talking about.

"Don't hafta bribe me, sweetheart," he answers, squeezing Danny's hand once more before flipping the seat forward and climbing into the back. "I like cookin' for you." And any answer he wants to give, teasing or serious, isn't something he's going to say in front of Steve. Not right now. "Just depends on when you wanna eat an' if you have a pizza stone. 'Cause the dough's gotta rise at least thirty minutes, preferably half an hour, an' there's just no damn point in tryin' t'make pizza without at least a stone."
Though a proper pizza oven's better, and yes he does have one built out on the patio at his place, as well as in the pub's kitchen. And damn, it's just... easier to fall into this, get a little pedantic about food than think about any of the rest of it for a moment.

He looks over at Danny. "I'm not sure what we have in the house for ingredients though...?"

Re: Danny, Steve and Eliot. In the office. Ironing things out
"If you wanna stop off somewhere I can run in for what we need." No point all of them trailing through, or him trying to give someone a list when he knows what he needs. Even if it'll be hard to walk away from Danny right now, and he reaches forward to rest his left hand on Danny's shoulder, thumb pressed to the skin just above the collar of his t-shirt.

Re: Danny, Steve and Eliot. In the office. Ironing things out
"And whatever works best for you, babe. I know this nice place we can get good cheese. It's on the way even." He pulls out of the parking lot and heads towards it. There is something so perfect about this. His two Sentinels together and the three of them just planning how to have a nice evening.

"What's your preference, an' I'll pick up what we need for it when we stop." The question is clearly directed at Steve, since Danny's made his preference clear.

Shrugging he looks back at Eliot. "I'm not big on just cheese, I prefer to have a bit of every food group on it, fruit is optional, but I'm not picky as long as there's something there." Steve will pretty much eat anything that's put in front of him. The healthier the better but after that food is food. Ham and pineapple is more of a way to bug Danny than something he actually prefers.
Re: Danny, Steve and Eliot. In the office. Ironing things out
It doesn't take long before he pulls into the parking lot of a small store. "You want help Eliot?"
Re: Danny, Steve and Eliot. In the office. Ironing things out
He considers Danny's question for a moment, because damn does he want to say yes, but he's used to coping without a Guide and Steve's not... and Steve's had a helluva bad couple hours. "I can find my way round a market, sweetheart," he answers. "You two stay out here an I'll just be a few minutes." Eliot squeezes the nape of Danny's neck and then gives it a little pat to encourage him to shift and let him out.

Once Eliot is out of the car and Steve watches him walk into the building, he turns his head to Danny. He has the urge to reach out to Danny but holds off. "I like him. He's a good guy and he genuinely cares about you." They had a good day before Steve zoned in Danny's office and while Steve doesn't expect for them to be spending a lot of time together, it makes him feel better knowing and liking who Danny and eventually Grace and Charlie would be spending considerable time with.
Re: Danny, Steve and Eliot. In the office. Ironing things out
He leans on the car watching Eliot head into the store and then he settles back next to Steve. "Yeah. Yeah, he is." Danny reaches out to place a hand on Steve's forearm. "I like him a lot. I.. He feels right, you know, like I can fully relax around him. Even more so when I have both of you in the same area. You feel right too."

Not enough to eavesdrop on whatever conversation Danny and Steve are having, just enough to reassure himself with Danny's proximity as he grabs a basket and makes his way through the store. It'll be about ten to fifteen minutes before he emerges.

"Good," he says as he leans his head back against the rest. "He does feel right. I think Gracie is going to like him as well." A smile starts to play at his lips with the thought of Grace, then the logistics of tonight hit him. "How did you want to do the sleeping arrangements with Grace in the house tonight? Are you comfortable with her knowing you guys sleep in the same bed? If not, Eliot can have your room, you can take mine, and I'll grab the couch or the hammock." That seems to be the win for everyone. Eliot would likely be most comfortable where Danny's smell is the strongest, without Steve's to interfere, and Steve likes the idea of Danny reaffirming the smell in his room with Danny's scent for the next night. Also, quite truthfully, Steve enjoys sleeping on the hammock under the stars as well when he can't be in bed with Danny.
Re: Danny, Steve and Eliot. In the office. Ironing things out
"And I'd hate to chase you out of the bed. You deserve a good night's sleep as much as we do."
Danny, Steve and Eliot. In the office. Ironing things out
"We hadn't talked about how long he's here for. I was hoping he'd stay to tell you on Sunday night after you took Grace home at least..." He offers Danny a smile. "He's welcome as long as you can convince him to."
