"Kona has that blend if you want to try it," he says helpfully. "You don't even have to mix it yourself, it's ground together. And, it's pretty good too." Giving Danny a happy smile, he looks back at Eliot. "What are your thoughts on Pineapple? Please don't tell me you are as equally opposed."

Once Eliot is out of the car and Steve watches him walk into the building, he turns his head to Danny. He has the urge to reach out to Danny but holds off. "I like him. He's a good guy and he genuinely cares about you." They had a good day before Steve zoned in Danny's office and while Steve doesn't expect for them to be spending a lot of time together, it makes him feel better knowing and liking who Danny and eventually Grace and Charlie would be spending considerable time with.

"No way I want to try that Steve. Pineapple belongs in a small set of dishes and not in the rest of them. Mostly desserts." Danny moves to let Eliot out and then he reaches to give his hand a firm squeeze. "I'll be right out here if you need me. Don't even have to yell with Steve around."

He leans on the car watching Eliot head into the store and then he settles back next to Steve. "Yeah. Yeah, he is." Danny reaches out to place a hand on Steve's forearm. "I like him a lot. I.. He feels right, you know, like I can fully relax around him. Even more so when I have both of you in the same area. You feel right too."

Eliot doesn't resist the impulse to lean in and brush a kiss to Danny's cheek as he passes, because dammit he needs that much right now before he walks away from the two of them. And then he heads for the store, letting himself still focus on the buzz of Danny's voice and the steady beat of his heart receding into the distance, dimming with walls between them and other voices nearer by, but still there.

Not enough to eavesdrop on whatever conversation Danny and Steve are having, just enough to reassure himself with Danny's proximity as he grabs a basket and makes his way through the store. It'll be about ten to fifteen minutes before he emerges.

Steve focuses on Eliot's heartbeat and then tracks as the other man moves away and into the store. He's careful to ignore the rest and just stay focused on Eliot. Normally it would be easier than this but his senses are still feeling tender. This however is a good stretching exercise for him, as well as allowing him to keep track of his new friend and make sure they aren't needed. When Danny touches his forearm, the sense enhances and evens out. The extra buzz he'd been trying to block out, slips away and the task becomes much easier. He smiles at Danny and turns his hand over so that he can wrap his fingers around Danny's forearm, the added sensation helping even more.

"Good," he says as he leans his head back against the rest. "He does feel right. I think Gracie is going to like him as well." A smile starts to play at his lips with the thought of Grace, then the logistics of tonight hit him. "How did you want to do the sleeping arrangements with Grace in the house tonight? Are you comfortable with her knowing you guys sleep in the same bed? If not, Eliot can have your room, you can take mine, and I'll grab the couch or the hammock." That seems to be the win for everyone. Eliot would likely be most comfortable where Danny's smell is the strongest, without Steve's to interfere, and Steve likes the idea of Danny reaffirming the smell in his room with Danny's scent for the next night. Also, quite truthfully, Steve enjoys sleeping on the hammock under the stars as well when he can't be in bed with Danny.

Danny blinks and smiles at the kiss and then once again at Steve's question. "I don't know. I mean if it is just sleeping..." He looks towards the door to see if Eliot was coming back. "I think I'll have to ask him for what he'd feel more comfortable with." Normally he'd want to wait with having people over before Grace got to know them better but things were too damn perfect with Eliot that he didn't want to spend another night apart.

"And I'd hate to chase you out of the bed. You deserve a good night's sleep as much as we do."

"You're not chasing me out. I'm offering." And really the more he thinks about it, the more he thinks he might do that regardless.

"We hadn't talked about how long he's here for. I was hoping he'd stay to tell you on Sunday night after you took Grace home at least..." He offers Danny a smile. "He's welcome as long as you can convince him to."

"I hope so too. A day or two to hang out all three of us would be good. I bet he would love to go fishing with you." Danny, on the other hand, is not so sure he will ever set foot on a boat again. "I will ask him what he wants to do."

Steve frowns slightly, but doesn't comment. The idea was more for Eliot and Danny to spend time together not for Eliot and Steve. Instead he nods. "Whatever you guys decide, I'm good with." Then after a pause he adds, "When you guys want some alone time, I'll make myself scarce. If you decide to plan something just give me a head's up." He expects they are going to want some intimate time and as much as Steve supports their relationship, he really doesn't want to be within his hearing range for that. That's best supported by him being elsewhere.

Danny glances over at him. "We'll keep it out of the house. I know how good your sense of smell is. Wouldn't want you to have to smell it all. We can grab a hotel for a night or something." He smiles softly.

"I'll still smell it on you when you return anyway." Steve shakes his head. "It's fine, Danny. It's your house too and really, if this is going to be a thing I'm going to have to get used to it when he's here. I just... I'm not ready to be there when it's going on. Give me some time, I'm positive that will change."

Danny smiles a little as he glances over at Steve. "Not if you're not comfortable with it. Heck, it would be kind of weird knowing you can hear everything." He shakes his head. "Besides, he might be more comfortable in a hotel too."

Them renting a hotel translates to Steve that they will mostly, if not completely, be gone instead of mostly around. He's disappointed. He had thought... Well, it didn't matter what he had thought. Reminding himself this is what he wants, he forces a smile and nods at Danny. "Whatever works best."

Giving Danny's arm a squeeze he lets go. "Why don't you go see what's taking him? See if he needs any help or has forgotten anything that we might need." Closing his eyes, he leans his head back on the headrest. That he doesn't need to force, he really is tired.

Eliot makes the trip a compromise between his need to get back to Danny as soon as possible, and what he's sure is Steve's desire for some time alone with him. It's hard, but he's absolutely sure that nothing good will come of getting between the two of them. So he doesn't dawdle over his choices, but he doesn't race through either, and when he comes back about ten minutes later it's with a couple fairly full bags plus two six packs of beer that will go well with the pizzas and salad he's planning to make. There's also a jug of fuice and the makings for a fruit tart that can go on the grill after the pizzas, but that's up to Danny and his preferences for Grace's diet.

He grins at the pair of them as he approaches, still consciously avoiding eavesdropping while still letting himself track the sound of Danny's voice and heartbeat. Once Danny pops the trunk he settles everything in place, the brushes another kiss to his cheek as he clambers past him to get into the back. "All set, let's go see this private beach of yours." He smiles easily, even if he's still not quite sure how this is all going to work, and sets a hand back on Danny's shoulder for the drive.
